What I love most about this book is how pure and honest the stories are—it was a privilege to write about this tender and endearing relationship. Women went back to their memories and distilled what was really important about the love and support that each felt as a little girl from the chum who lived next door or sat across the aisle in class. I suspect you will find yourself in these stories. There are pizza parties and giggles. But there are serious times, too: Stories when friends stood by each other in times of need. Celebrating this special relationship, revealed here for the first time in such detail, is a joy.
